Thom York from Radiohead wrote it. I would like to hear Thom York sing this with Mehldau.

A) I didn't say Radiohead were depressing, or emo. Depression is a common and well done theme in writing music, and you would be totally ignorant if you thought some Radiohead songs weren't depressingB) Considering this song was, lyrically and otherwise. wrote specifically for Romeo and Juliet, i'd say its got a fairly depressing theme to it

Radiohead ain't depressed music, it goes further than depression.. They aren't sad emo guys, they just understood some things and live in acceptance.

ok, I get what you're saying.

i think you misinterpreted what i wrote. i said the original version, as depressing a feel as its creators intended it to have, doesn't fit well with an upbeat jazzy twist to it. it just feels weird and awkward. i love jazz.. but this just sounds weird in my opinion.

each musician has his own style. If its not jazz, then what would you classify it as?
