I guess I'll start with the mini storm launcher and maybe next year get the original one. But why does spinmaster's website not working? It just starts downloading and after finishing, it never opens up. I'm worried that if something is wrong with my mini storm launcher, I'll have to get a new one.

They all had separate batteries with a LiPO charger that had to be purchased. They discontinued them because so many people could not figure out how to fly them. I love mine.I know of no other machine. Sorry.

I heard from many reviews that the big one needs another battery box for some reason that it is not included and it costs a lot of money. Why is the big one discontinued? Is there another RC machine that could go pretty well on land, flies, or maybe on water too that isn't too expensive? Can you reccomend some to me? Thanks a lot.

I recommend the big one, but they are discontinued. The minis do not work well on land and definitely not water. It must be handlaunced. There is only left and right steering and if the motors shut off, it will not glide or turn, so keep that in mind. If you land on grass or weeds, they are pretty tough and usually dont break. I am going to get a mini storm launcher for christmas and it is my first RC plane so do you recommend that I get the mini storm launcher or the original storm launcher. And could you show how well the mini storm launcher is on land maybe in some different terrain on a new video because I am worried that I might crash my first mini storm launcher on a bad terrain.

Mini wont work in water (see my video) Only the big one will taxi and take off from snow. I have many videos of it flying in the snow. Unfortunately they are discontinued.

what would happen if you drove it over the water? and can you taxi these before takeoff, or is it just hand-launchable?if it is, i'm in canada, so is it taxi-able over snow?Thanks.

Well the mini is not for water and is a marginal flyer. Remember both of these will not steer or fly with the motors off, so they are a little more difficult to fly...about like flying a book cover ya know. I like the Big one better my self. |
