the upside down cross is St.Peter's cross. He was that's how he was crucified because he didn't want to be crucified the same way as Jesus.

some people like to think that it's a purley satanic symbol, which is how murdoc uses it, but it was started back when St. Peter was crusified upside down, opposite of how Jesus died, because they thought he wasn't worthy to. Since then people use it as satanic symbol, although i think its really just used to upset really churchy people.
